The Wingover app does not collect or process any personal information. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no ads. Flights you record stay on your device. The app's only network traffic is fetching map tiles, which sends the map area you are viewing to the map provider (Apple Maps or MapTiler) under their own privacy policies.
Sync is optional and off by default. If you point sync at your own server, your data goes only there, and that server is not covered by this policy.
If you subscribe to the hosted sync service, we store the flights and pins you sync in a database only your account can access, plus a minimal account record: an anonymous identifier derived from your App Store transaction (and, if you link it, from your Apple ID) and your subscription's expiry date. Nothing else — no name, no email address (Sign in with Apple is requested with no scopes), and no payment details, which Apple handles entirely. We never sell or share any of it.
Deleting your account in the app permanently removes your hosted database and the account record.
